The king's speech (El discurso del rey), film de Tom Hopper sobre la tartamudez del rey Jorge VI del Reino Unido, fue el que más nominaciones obtuvo, 7 menciones, superando a Red social, la película sobre el creador de Facebook, que consiguió 6.
La entrega de las estatuillas será el 16/1 en el Beverly Hilton de Los Angeles con conducción del británico Ricky Gervais.
